Lahpet (laphet) is traditional and popular snack of Myanmar. It is made of lahpet or pickled tea leaves with a hint of oil mixed with sesame seeds, fried garlic and peanuts.
Traditionally tea is eaten as well as drunk in Myanmar depends on the region. Laphet is also served as tea leaf salads. The most popular Burmese tea leaf salads are Mandalay lahpet and Yangon lahpet.
